Ask Nilesh and he will tell you that elastic are always better to hold your churidaar rather than a cotton cord. Three pheras were done and just when the fourth was about to begin Nilesh felt his churidaar loosening a bit and gradually he felt it slipping down his waist.
So there you had Nilesh - one hand holding his bride Shakun's hand and the other one holding on to his churidaar. Everyone around realized what was happening but pheras cannot be stopped mid-way right? Soon after the pheras, Nilesh had to rush to the cloakroom for obvious reasons!
We advise: Leave no loose ends! It is always better to try your wedding day outfits just a week before the nuptials. And for extra precaution keep safety pins handy.
I am never going to dance again...
Specially not if the heels of your silhouettes are above four inches! That was the resolution made by Nikita on her wedding day.
An athlete since childhood, Nikita was never comfortable in girly sandals - though with her swanky white wedding gown she could definitely not sport a pair of Nikes. In spite of a thorough practice session with her beau Arvind before the wedding, Nikita felt highly uncomfortable when the host announced the wedding dance. No sooner did the music begin, than Nikita tripped and took Arvind down as well. What a sight!
We advise: Do what suits you best. No point over-doing anything at the cost of comfort and convenience.
Naturally, the distress of the brides and grooms was obvious on the day and has been recorded forever in their wedding videos. However, it is these very memories that make them laugh out loud many years later.
