Stars make the most of winter mahurats  2006-07

Love is in the air in Tinsel town as celebs line up for a winter shaadi. "It's a strange, yet a happy coincidence that so many of our friends are getting married at the same time," says Arjun Punj.

Venue: Marriage in Delhi. Reception in both Delhi and Mumbai.

Courtship period: 3 yrs

Dress code: Arjun will be wearing bandh gala suits from Gabbana and Masculine. Gurdeep with wear lahengas in red, peach and gold for different occasions.

Trousseau shopping: Complete. It's a mix and match of Delhi( Heritage) and Mumbai stores.

Wedding preparations: Arjun has re-designed his home for the new bride.

Menu: Punjabi and Sikh cuisine.

Honeymoon destination: Either New Zealand or Europe. But it will happen only in February as they have already committed the dates for their respective TV shows.

Biggest expense: The wedding venue at a 5-star hotel in Delhi. And of course Gurdeep's jewellery.

Customs: Typical Hindu Punjabi.

Venue: Hometown Benaras. The functions would take place at his home and at a hotel. Amit wanted to get married his hometown as he shares a deep bond with the city. "My home city is famous for its traditions, culture and heritage and I'm proud to be associated with it,"
says Amit

Courtship period: 4-5 years

Dress code: Amit will wear a sherwani and Vineesha a lehenga.

Wedding preparations: As he is too busy he has left most of the preparations to his father, brother and sister.

Menu: Vegetarian Indian dishes as his family is strictly vegetarian.

Honeymoon destination: Europe

Biggest expense: The wedding itself!

Customs: Amit and his younger brother are getting married on the same day, at the same place. They are Punjabi Khatris and would follow typical Punjabi customs.
