Are Timeshare Holidays Really A Good Deal?

These advantages definitely make timeshares sound very tempting. However, here are a few things that you need to keep in mind if you're planning to own a timeshare:
- If you want to exchange your week for one at another resort or hotel, you may have to book your holiday months in advance especially if your chosen resort is a popular one. Sometimes, you may get put on a waitlist for years. So, if you're the type who takes off for vacation on the spur of the moment and can never plan it in advance, a timeshare may not be the best thing for you.
- Salespeople trying to sell you a timeshare may not always tell you that you have to use your holiday week at the same time or in the same month every year. They may also not tell you that you cannot exchange your off-season 3 star unit for a 5 star unit in the peak season. So, before you go and purchase a timeshare simply for the freebies attached, do ensure that you ask a lot of questions and get the proper answers to your queries. Always ask in detail what your timeshare entitles you to and more importantly, what it does NOT entitle you to.
All in all, a timeshare holiday package does sound like the real deal and can give you stress-free holidays for life, provided you are smart about your choice.
