Romantic Goa: Indian Destination Wedding

Romantic Goa: Indian Destination Wedding A wedding is an once-in-a-lifetime affair (hopefully!), which is why couple's today go all out in order to make their wedding day a lifetime experience. And with something as important as your wedding day, nobody wants to make any kind of compromises!

This is exactly why a Goan destination wedding ranks as one of the most memorable ways to get married. In addition to the charm that is truly Goa, you also have that extra bit of mysticism and spirituality that will make your wedding unique.

Getting Married In Goa

Goa is a nature's paradise and offers you various location choices to host your wedding. Here's what you can choose from:

  1. Beach wedding: The lure of its virgin beaches is world famous. Not only can you get married at many public beaches, but you also have a choice between many private and semi-private beaches that are ideal for weddings. Here are some of the more popular beach venues for a Goa destination wedding:
    • Baga and Calangute beaches: These public beaches are extremely popular tourist spots, thanks to their clear waters and white sands. Permission has to be taken from local authorities for a wedding on these beaches, but is easily granted.
    • Palolem beach: If you're looking for an isolated beach venue that is not overrun with tourists, then Palolem beach is the perfect spot. This is one of the few 'undiscovered' beaches in Goa and a wedding here is undoubtedly a fantasy come to life.
    • Anjuna beach: If white sandy beaches aren't your style and you prefer rocky beaches with smaller rivers meeting into the sea, then look no further than Anjuna. Extremely popular with foreigners, Indians too are now heading to this beach for their wedding.

Although a beach wedding in Goa can be very memorable and fun, such locations are more suited to traditional weddings that are not very formal. And yes, it will have to be a day wedding as there are certain restrictions to music and lights on the beaches after dark.
