History remade itself when the New 7 Wonders of the world were unveiled at Lisbon, Portugal. Chosen from an original pool of almost 200 nominees, the list was narrowed down to 21 for the Final Day. These Wonders represent the choice of experts judges as well as over 70 million voters across the world.

The campaign was launched by Bernard Weber in 1999. With an official tune, online tours and souvenirs for as little as $20, the campaign for selecting the N7W turned out to be a massive affair that ended in a star studded gala event.
