A Match Truly Made In Heaven

They are the kings and queens of Bollywood. And they are out there looking for their soul mates. After a disappointing round of the planet and innumerable visits to matchmakers around the globe, they've realised that their other half does not belong on earth.
It has to be someone from among the Gods, some man or woman from Indian mythology. We decided to help our men and women from tinsel town in their starry-eyed search for the perfect match. Here's what we found:

Rekha - Indra: Fighting To Win
She dances like a dream, looks like an apsara, remains an enigma and has conquered age. For her, nobody less than Indra would do. For, if Indra is the God of Weather, Rekha is the diva who has mastered weather.
Look at her beauty. Is there any sign of it having weathered with time? The lady is 52 going on 32. Like the celestial nymphs in Indra's court, Rekha seems to be able to change her shape at will (remember the plump duckling of the 1970's Sawan Bhadon and the beautiful swan of Umrao Jaan?). She's versatile too.
If she wants, she can be the naughty young girl of Khubsoorat, the sultry siren of Muqaddar ka Sikandar, the simple, trusting housewife of Ijaazat or the sexy teacher of Kama Sutra. In short, she's as fluid as the nymphs in Indra's court.
So, if she's right for Indra, the God who rules the heaven and the elements too is perfect for her. Heroic, he is known to constantly fight a winning battle between good and evil - just as Rekha does, between youth and age.
Amitabh - Ganga: The Stuff Of Legends
For the chora from Ganga kinare, it wasn't easy to find a match, even in mythology. But the search ended where it began. At Ganga. None else could match the pace of Amitabh's life.
As an angry young man, he found an answer in Ganga, when she, in a rage, decided to sweep the whole earth only to be stopped by Shiva. Years later, Ganga, depicted as an extremely fair woman wearing a white crown, has held on to her path, even as she moves with the times.
Like her, Big B too has stayed firmly rooted in the film world, evolving and changing with time only to become bigger and more dynamic. Today, Ganga continues to be worshipped as the Goddess who washes away all your sins. Similarly, Amitabh remains a living legend - an icon everybody looks up to. There's would be truly a match made in heaven.
Bipasha - Karna: Lookers Unite!
After a quick look into Bipasha's life, it's evident that the one man who would complement her is Karna - the first son of Kunti, the half-brother of the Pandavas. Karan came into the world accidentally. Bipasha too, in her own words, came into acting "quite by accident".
Karna had to constantly prove himself to the 'pure-bloods'. For Bipasha too, it took time before the film fraternity accepted her as a serious actor instead of just another sexy woman struggling to make a mark. Despite the odds, like Karna, she made an appearance that could in no way be ignored.
There are a lot of similarities here. The doe-eyed Bong beauty would work well for Karna. And he for her. Besides, though Karna made a lot of wrong choices in friends - Duryodhana remained his best friend - this eldest brother of the Pandavas came across as a brave and righteous human being. And he was a looker too. He should appeal to the Bengali bombshell.
