The Showdown At Screen Awards
|
Anyways, coming back to the show - it was as all awards functions are - glamorous, colourful and lively. Rock On! Rocked with 6 awards and Akshay and Ash won the popular awards. Jodhaa Akbar won the award for best movie.
And now for the red carpet fashion awards!
- Ada Sharma of '1920' fame, walked the red carpet wearing a white long dress by designer Nalandda Bhandari. The dress looked prettier on her than the model!
- Amrita Rao continued to be in character and dress up horribly in an ill-fitting ash coloured gown.
- In a shocking makeover, Sonali Kulkarni actually looked nice! She wore a lovely lilac sari. We only wish she'd draped it normally instead of showing off her assets quite so blatantly.
- Deepika Padukone looked terrible in a frightening ensemble. The only saving grace being that she was performing which might explain the OTT look.
- Katrina Kaif looked absolutely stunning in a red gown and like a true diva of Bollywood.
- The two visions in white were Jaya Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut. While Jaya looked classic and timeless, Kangana looked sensuous and tempting.
- Gul Panag left her mind at home when she stepped out with two huge rosettes on her not-so-huge assets. Who's flowers are worse? Gul or Prachi Desai?
- The star couple of the evening had to be Akshay and Twinkle. They looked exquisite together. Hrithik and Suzanne on the other were disappointing. They have the potential to look so much better!
- Aishwarya Rai was spotted in a sky blue churidaar kurta. Since she's become the Bachchan bahu we rarely see her in Western outfits!
- A complete nightmare was Hard Kaur. No more comments because with arms like hers one has to be careful what one says.
- However, the true nightmare of the evening had to be Sunita Rao. She looked like she had come to source some clients - check out her pic and you'll know the kind we mean!
- Rakhi Sawant was wearing little as can be expected. Her newly done up face continues to look like plastic surgery gone all wrong.
- Others at the event were Celina Jaitley (yuck!), Koel Purie, Tanushree Dutta, Farida Jalal, Ila and Ishita Arun, Annu Malik, Mugdha Godse, Tabu (simply delicious!), Preeti Jhangiani and Parvin Dabbas, Jeetendra, Sheeee-bani Kashyap, Minissha Lamba, Sonu Sood and a host of other celebs.
