Most important of all it is the nearest honeymoon destination from Mumbai.It has beautiful weather and is in the midst of Mother Nature.

We booked a complete package tour through a travel agency: transportation, staying, food and sight seeing. We travelled in a Volvo coach, to and fro and sight seeing was in the hotel car.

The berry farms, Vienna Lake - you can go boating, Tableland Point for horse-riding. The other tourist spots are Monkey Point, Tiger Point, Echo Point. It is fascinating to see the barren deep and the shallow green valleys.

Mahabaleshwar is cold during January, so carry your woollen clothes. Carry medicine in case you feel nausea while travelling by bus. As most of the hotels and restaurants serve only veg-food make sure you check the menu before you book your hotel. Don't forget to switch off your mobile phones to enjoy undisturbed honeymoon.

It is an experience worth sharing. A hill station is best for a honeymoon because no other place can bring out so much romance. Away from the routine traffic, pollution and noise we enjoyed our coupledom.
