Manali and Shimla
There was a special discount offer from Kesari Tours on their 20th anniversary. So we thought of making use of the opportunity and booked in advance.
11 days(excluding travel time)
We opted for Mumbai to Delhi via Rajdhani Express. There are many other ways like air travel upto Delhi and then by taxi, but train travel was exciting for us. From Delhi we went to Shimla by a luxury aircon bus.It was approx a 9 hour journey.
Mall Road in Shimla, Sutlej river, Beas - Sutlej Link Project, Kullu Valley, Dussehra Maidan, Kullu Shawl Factory, Naggar Art Gallery, Jagatsukh Gayatri Mandir Vashista Kund, Manu Mandir, Hidimba Temple(Manali). The apple farms in Manali are worth a visit.
Don't forget to carry mosituring cream, cold cream, lots of woollen wear. Carry your camera and lots of extra film rolls. If you usually feel nausea while travelling by bus please carry your medical kit.
If you want to enjoy the snow you better go during the winner season(Dec-Jan) August is for those who like just a nip in the air-not too cold and neither too warm. Believe me its the best place for a couple to enjoy intimate moments.
