Shimla and Manali

We had an option to either do North or South India. As it would be very hot during March we did not opt for the South.

March being a pleasant season for Himachal Pradesh, we booked our complete tour with Himachal Tourism.

Mumbai to Delhi by flight. From Delhi to Shimla-Manali by private car.

Gambol in the snow at Rohtang pass and enjoy the breathtaking landscape. Hadimba Temple in Manali is a great tourist attraction and one must not miss it.

The hot water springs at Kufri are a sure bet. Shimla's has lovely weather through the year and landscape is beautiful. For shopaholics visit the malls at Manali.

We ate at the typical dhabas(roadside eateries) so just go ahead and do just that as the food is really tasty. Carry lots of woollen even if you plan a March visit as the temperatures do dip. The sudden change in temperatures from sunny to cold can be intriguing.

Don't even rethink about the choice of the place as the cold weather brings you closer to each other. If you cannot venture out due to the weather just sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy each other’s company. Both the scenic beauty coupled with the weather are a great combination that would attract any honeymooning couple.
