Lighten up! Play Purple
|
Let loose... with a splash of purple
She stared at him. Rakesh made no further moves on her. The next day he left for a two day business tour. In his absence, his words sunk into the depths of Chandrika's mind.
She realized that her resentment for his playfulness did not stem from her not liking it per se, but from her feeling bound to not respond. So she felt as though she was being teased, or provoked, and tested.
When Rakesh returned, it was raining. He entered their flat. There was no sign of Chandrika. Then he saw an arrow tacked to a curtain, pointing to their share of a terrace that couldn't be viewed from the road. As he stepped onto the terrace, he was stunned. Chandrika grabbed his stand and pulled him into the rain, hugging him...
Like Rakesh and Chandrika, do you and your partner also value frivolity in your relationship? If you think you have scope for improvement, try these out...
- Do things you've never done before - like showering together?
- How easy are you in each others' company? Quiz each other on stupid invasive questions. Can you answer them honestly?
- Indulge in sports together or walk/jog if you're not too sporty. Playing a sport together is a great way to loosen up with a partner.
