10 Resolutions you must make this year

At this time of the year most of us are minted up by the desire to plan a wonderful New Year! Resolutions, if carried out successfully, not only act as short-term goals to success but also help in improving life and overcoming those habits, which we ourselves do not like. So why not make some resolutions on the personal front to make a 'love'ly year ahead?
Spend more time with family and friends: Nowadays, we are too tied up with work and often neglect or forget our families in the process. For this most of us have a nagging guilt however much we might try to overlook it. This New Year let's make a resolution to devote some extra hours for our loved ones.
- No shopping day: Fix one day a month on which you would not shop at all. Your husband will be happy and may fix a Must Buy Day exclusively for you!
- Lend a helping hand: This New Year bring a smile on your partner's face by taking care of little things like picking up the plate, watering the plant or ironing the clothes.
- Let go of a grudge: Understand the cause of your anger and let go of the need to be right. Even if the ongoing battle with MIL has never been acknowledged, approach her and ask for a truce. Do something nice for her and let peace prevail.
- Learn to say "Sorry": This might sound difficult for some but it will save many marriages and will act as a balm on the minds of those you have hurt.
- Complimentary effort: Be more appreciative of your spouse. It's really important to show your mate you think s/he is the best. Little affectionate gestures like saying "I love you" or "You're beautiful" are an important part of marriage.
Live healthy: Taming the bulge is a very popular resolution for new year. But unfortunately the party season does not allow us to stick to it. Cut off the junk and plan an exercise routine with your partner. Together you can join a gym, salsa class or go jogging - whichever suits you best.
- Take a break: Go for a holiday at least twice a year and free your mind from the daily grind of everyday routine. Plan for it and save for it accordingly from now on.
- Get organised: From kitchen cabinets to files and folders to closets, clear away the dump. This also includes clearing your debts. This will help you to be calm and relaxed.
- Have more sex: Affection feels good but just like any bond, it needs work. It keeps you close and reminds you that you are loved. Keep the passion burning and the sparks flying. Don't view it as a chore; think of it as a way to get closer.
