Different minds, different matters...
How to impress a professional woman
|
If she is a nutritionist:
Start your morning walk, join a yoga class and top it up with a visit to the gym at least thrice a week. Also forget ice creams, chocolates, drinking at parties and all those oh so yummy junk and oily foods. These sacrifices will surely count! Also do not belittle her profession or dare to make fun of them.
"Marrying a nutritionist can be tough job for guy who is not so health conscious because I will make him one very soon. So he should be prepared. Fitness is very important in life and I would appreciate if my husband follows a healthy eating habit and a regular fitness regime or else there are bound to be regular tiffs. Good looks or a muscular body is not essential but he should be fit and understand my lifestyle. Nutritionists are great counselors. They try their best to convince their clients about the importance of fitness, so she expects her spouse to also be good at communication skills." - Munira Jawadwala, Nutritionist, Mumbai
If she is a PR executive:
Be seen in the right places at the right time and with right people and you do not have to try any more! PR people generally like other people who like people. Also due to the extensive networking that their job requires most may want to spend time alone. But they would like to meet people with similar interests.
"He should be charming and have good connections in the industry. In that way he can help me out with good contacts. Good looks are not very important but he should be smart and impressive. I would prefer someone from the same industry because he would also understand my job pressures." - Rina Patel, PR Executive, Mumbai
If she is a performing artist:
Artists appreciate a creative mind and a simple and open mind. They avoid complicated people. Being sensitive and a bit of a maverick, this lot will get attracted to like-minded professionals. Artists are also very selfless in nature and try to help people they love in all possible ways. But as they are very sensitive, once hurt they become extra cautious and it becomes difficult to regain their trust.
"I would go for someone who is sensible, down-to-earth and has a keen sense of music. He should at least have an understanding of my life (professional and personal). Taste of music need not be similar, but the sense of appreciation would help us gel in well. A grounded person would not get flimsy with the glitter of the show biz. Imagination and creativity I think comes along with the package because the craft is all about unwinding one's talent. Also, he should be successful in life. Stability is very unromantic but an important need of life," Raggi Roy, Budding singer, New York
