Light A Red Fire - Again!
The Colours of Love - 11

On her part, Sunita realized that she never had time for Arun even if he came home early from work, as she would spend the evening supervising the kids' home-work. Thinking rationally, she asked herself if this was really essential on a daily basis. How would they learn to manage their home-work if she kept intervening? She lightened up, and decided to skip this chore whenever Arun could make it home early.

Set off some fireworks

Arun and Sunita also realized that adopting a positive attitude and being open to a partner's evolving needs were equally important to keep their relationship 'alive'.

Like them, act mature and realize that lulls in relationships are normal... it only takes some effort to reconnect to revive the situation. Then lie back and enjoy the magic!

If you need help getting on, here are a few suggestions to sizzle things up between you two again:
  • It's the little things that count. How often have you heard that? Buy your wife a red rose, help her with the dishes so that she can finish other chores soon and you can spend time together.
  • What does your partner need to feel close to you? Be honest to acknowledge that and give him / her what he / she wants. It may a candle light dinner, or a sexy massage, or just a hearing to unwind from a hard day at work. If it's the latter, guys please don't keep the TV on too. Wives don't appreciate that kind of multi-tasking!
  • Don't take each other for granted. Appreciate and indulge your partner with an uncalled for gift every now and then, so that s/he knows you care.
  • Remember what you love in each other. Recall how it all started for you. Project yourselves in the future. Build on your memories.
