The Third Chakra - Manipura
Also called the Solar Plexus, this Chakra is situated at just above the navel area. It represents our power, will, energy, authority, and longevity. Higher awareness of this Chakra leads to self-esteem, autonomy and confidence, while the lower awareness results in insecurity, domination, manipulation, power games and ego issues. In Tantra, this Chakra holds special importance for woman as cultivating awareness results in the dissolution of insecurity and manipulation issues. Once the energy gets free from here, emotions begin to give way to true love.
The Fourth Chakra - Anahata
Also called the Heart Chakra, it is situated in the middle of the chest for men and just below in between the breasts for women. Unconditional love is the highest flowering attainable through this Chakra. It represents sharing, love, service, compassion, and devotion. Awareness of this Chakra can transform anyone's world completely, as mistrust is transformed in love and enemies become friends. Once the energy begins to move here, immensely blissful experiences are available which can transport you into timeless eternity.
The Fifth Chakra - Vishuddha
This Chakra is located in the throat area. It represents knowledge and speaking the truth of that knowledge. Awareness of this Chakra results in the urge to share ourselves with others selflessly. Once the energy begins to move here, one wants to share the bliss he has attained. This results in expanding consciousness and the quantum leaps in the blissful experiences.
The Sixth Chakra - Ajna
Located at the pineal gland or "third eye" of the forehead, the sixth Chakra symbolises enlightenment and self-realisation. Awareness of this Chakra results in connection with the divinity and results in self-mastery, spiritual awakening, psychic talents, occult powers, attaining the peak potential, intuition and insights.
The Seventh Chakra - Sahasrara
This Chakra is located at the fontanel, the area that once was the soft spot on the head as an infant. It is the open conduit to God and the guru within. This is Mount Kailash, where Shiva resides. Awareness of this Chakra results in the awakening of the God within, as one is no more an individual human entity, but represents the divine nature of universe. In short one becomes the incarnation of Shiva.
