Discovering Your Soulmate

In the last article, I made a point that if you marry for convenience or for beauty or for money or for career growth, that is what you will get. There are hardly any chances that you will discover love and ecstasy in your relationship. If you marry for mental compatibility, it will prove to be a shaky foundation, as the mind monkey has the immensely fluctuating character, and hence any marriage based on this will prove to be unstable. Now the question is, if all these are not the right criteria for marriage, then what is?
Well, we all know that. We all keep searching for our soul mate. Don't we?
Well, certain clairvoyants especially in the western world believe that the spirit can be drawn to different vibrations good or bad. Thus, logically the argument is the soul knows who our soul mate is and can clearly spot the other half easily, only if we listen to it. If we can just let the soul guide us, we can discover our right partner easily. The trouble is, we hardly give our soul a chance to function properly. For example, when we meet our prospective partner, what do we keep doing? We talk, go for movies and so on. These are all the mental activities. You can, at the most, discover the mental compatibility this way. It is also very common to hide the reality and only present to the other what would be really appealing in such pre-marital courtships. It may become difficult for one to really discover the truth this way even if you have spent previous time with your prospective spouse.
While the mind works at the gross level, functioning of soul is very subtle. Hence, when the mind is chattering, you will not be able to listen to the soul.
If you want to listen to the soul, you need to get into the activities which quietens the mind and hence brings forth the soul connection. So spend the time holding hands in utter relaxation like walking through the woods together, sitting in the beautiful garden and getting lost in the surroundings or boating in the lake. When the mind is quiet, you can listen to the soul. If you spend some time in this way, you will suddenly get aware if your choice is right or not. If both of you are in deep harmony, you will thoroughly enjoy such peaceful moments of togetherness. However, if you are uncomfortable in spending time with each other in silence, you should be clear that at the most you have a mental connection, which is not going to last for long.
If both of you have a deep heartfelt connection, it is likely that energy will start to move to your heart chakra (I will be discussing more about this energy dynamics between man and woman in the later articles of this series) and you will start to feel burning sensation in the middle of your chest (heart chakra). This sensation may also be in the form of pricking of the needles or something creeping up inside you. This is an indicator, that in each other's company, you feel so secure that your energy can now move upwards in the search of bliss and joy. As this energy keeps building up, you will be amazed to know that everything around you will begin to transform. You will start to perform better in your career, earn more money, attract the right friends and improve upon the existing family relationships (More aspects of this transformation will be discussed in later articles).
