As per the limited facts narrated by you, you have not mentioned about you and your girlfriend's status and present nationality. Presumably if you both are Indian then you shall be governed under the Indian Legislation and Matrimonial Laws of India. For which you can definitely get married under the Foreign Marriage Act, before the Indian consulate at the UK or US.
