SleepwellAre You Selecting The Right Mattress For Yourself?

Are You Selecting The Right Mattress For Yourself? Shopping for a mattress is probably the toughest thing to do. You want to ensure the style suits your bed but you also want to ensure it's the most comfortable one you can get. This is where you get your elusive rest time after all.

There are numerous things that are said to contribute to the comfort of a mattress. And if you have a backache, you are never quite sure what you have to keep in mind.

We bring you some tips on selecting the right mattress for yourself:
  1. It's always better to test the mattress before you buy one.
There are numerous types and styles of mattresses in the market and you can never know which one you need until you have tried them out. There are foam, spring, pillow-top, water, adjustable and air mattresses. Foam mattresses are the most popular for the home.

  2. If you are going to share the mattresses with someone, both of you must go and try it out.
If two of you are going to use the mattress, both of you must go and try the mattress. It must be something that leaves space for both of you and is comfortably large. Don't forget to roll across and see that the sides of the mattress provide as much support as the middle part.

  3. Buy from reliable companies.
It's important to pick up mattresses from a reliable brand. In India, brands like Sheela Foam have been known for their expertise in manufacturing comfortable mattresses.

  4. Look for back comfort along with sleep comfort.
The mattress must offer you back support with sleep comfort. It should provide sufficient back support but it should not be too firm, as popular perception believes. A firm mattress can cause aches and pains on pressure points. Instead, it should be comfortable enough for you to provide space for the shoulders and hips.

  5. Check the fabric on the outside.
The ticking fabric, or the fabric on the outside cover should be a cotton blend or a damask. These materials allow the mattress to breath, making them more comfortable for a sultry weather as well.
