The 'Saas' In Her Den - Apara Mehta At Home

Apara Mehta is unarguably Indian television's first 'Saas'. Her portrayal of Savita aka Tulsi's Saas in Balaji Telefilms' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi defined the entire genre of Saas-Bahu serials that followed. So what has this Saas done with her interiors in her own home?
Colour is an important aspect of interior designing as it not only contributes to the visual appeal but also departs a particular mood to an interior. Equally important is how you use different colours in contrast with the main colour. Choose a colour that goes with the mood you want to set. For example, Apara has used red and silver to give a creative and vibrant look to her house.
There are different ways in which one can work on the colour scheme. Like using furniture of the desired colour. One can even paint one wall in that colour or like Apara did, paint on the wall. The painting can be done in the same colour theme or some contrasting colour, which enhances the look of the room.

While picking artifacts for your house always remember that they should complement the colour scheme and not look out of place. Apara has placed only silver and red artifacts all around her living area. Even the mirror has a silver frame. This lends uniformity to the whole appearance.
