Food for Valentine
"You are the spice of my life. Today, I want you to know how much I appreciate the efforts and pains you took in grinding that special biryani masala for the delicious chicken biryani you cooked for me when we first met. I haven't let you know how much I have relished it. But I did honey. I really did. There's no better cook than you, my love, in this world, for me. Tell all your friends that I said so. We have been together ever since. Happy Valentine's Day!"
This was the wish, one of my dear friends, wanted to share with me. It is nice to know that food plays such an important role in our love lives as well. Food helps create a sense of attachment and passion between couples - be they newly wed or married for long.
Food binds
Be it a boy-meets-girl session or a sangeet party, a wedding reception or a Bachelor's party, food has always played a very significant role in getting people closer and making them feel special. Widespread buffet counters with antalising and lip-smacking spread of food and beverages during weddings is one way in which families come together and celebrate. Couples propose to each other on dinner tables. A mélange of tastes, cultures and traditions come together through food.
Spice of life
Imagine having to celebrate the success of someone who has won worldwide acclaim for his excellent performance without food to accompany the joy of the moment! It would be so boring. Be it a cricket match won well or a golden jubilee anniversary, food is what adds spice to life. It is food that adds the extra sparkle to any special event which we wish to share with our dear ones.
One such day
One such day is the Valentine's Day. A day, when lovers celebrate their moments of togetherness and express fondness for each other. Here's a special menu for all you romantic lovers to wine, dine and celebrate this very special day!
