Holi Delicacies

Garlic Rasam
Serves 2
Ingredients:
Oil
Mustard seeds (rai)
Garlic cloves
Whole red pepper (sabut lal mirch)
Curry leaves (kadhi patta)
Hot water
Tamarind (imli) paste
Chilli powder
Salt
Pepper corns (sabut kali mirch)
Coriander seeds (sabut dhania)
Husked Bengal Gram (Channa daal)
Cumin seeds (zeera)
Curry leaves (kadhi patta)
Coriander leaves (hara dhania), chopped

2 tsp dry roast and blend to a paste, adding water as required

Method:
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When it splutters, add garlic cloves and sauté till a light brown.
- Add curry leaves and red peppers and sauté a little. Add water, imli paste, chilli powder and salt.
- Bring to a boil and add the paste and the hara dhania. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and serve.
