Women are perceived and accepted differently at different times by different people, depending on the roles they perform in real life.

Understanding the changing role of woman The accepted pattern of women's role has remained as a homemaker which over a period of time has gained additional attributes - women began to work outside home - in offices and various fields. But the title of Home Maker remained unshaken.

Why the perception that only the woman should be the Home Maker and not the Man?
Man of course is also the Home Maker but second only to the woman. Woman is gifted with natural emotions, compassion, the strength to withstand failures and success apart from being blessed to conceive and giving birth to a child. Man has remained deprived of these super human qualities. Even when a man takes steps to be in the woman's shoe as a home maker - a gap remains - the touch remains incomplete.

The Home Maker today is also an office maker. The unlimited capacity of a woman, her tolerance, patience and acceptance has actually increased demands on her. Woman has become a victim of her image created by virtue of her multidimensional qualities. In the process the woman is stretched too far and is finally stressed - to the extent that it tells on her physique, psyche and emotion. The core of such stress is the demands made on the woman. Demand here is directly related to the time at hand; and the time at our disposal is only 24 hrs. The crux therefore is optimum utilisation of these 24 hrs, giving her the time to be with Self.

Time Management in simple language is maximising the usage of one's time for the best and towards effective purpose. The guidelines could be as follows:

Time Management in simple language is maximising the usage of one's time for the best and towards effective purpose. The guidelines could be as follows:
  • Understanding of the functions.

  • Priority : listing process - mental and on paper. Mental discipline is a MUST.

  • The best time of each work should be recognized and done accordingly or it will lose its effectiveness.

  • From the general experience decide time slots for every work to be completed in that time frame.

  • Deadline for every activity.

  • Foresight for any eventualities. Understand the routine.

  • Delegate your work - to the right people.

  • Keep time for Self - this is only your time - no introspection - the mind may be blank, relish your private moments.
