Physical limitations
Mubarak asks,
How can I overcome physical limitations and have better confidence?
Dear Mubarak,
You have not specified your limitations. However, accept them as they are. Address your plus points and grow on them. Dress well. Improve on your communication skills.
Will power
Sandeep Vijay asks,
I have lack of communication and managing skills and so I hesitate to contact my company's international branches. My English speaking skills are also poor. I have a weak will power. Help!
Dear Sandeep,
You have to improve your English. Take lessons and keep speaking the language. You MUST read good English language books regularly. Gradually you will progress.
Impressing colleagues
Susmita Naik asks,
How can I impress people at my work place? I don't want to get comments like 'she is showing off'. Sometimes I feel that I'm not confident and suddenly feel nervous.
Dear Susmita,
One has to have knowledge and be equipped for whatever work one does. Also be sincere in your approach - it will give returns. After that one can have polished manners, good communication skills and try to understand the situation and people and then react accordingly. Try to analyse yourself honestly. If things are bothering you, then write down the feelings, read and then tear off the writing. This will help.
Confidence level
Nisha Sidhwani asks,
Whenever I see someone laughing, I feel they are laughing at me. Also I can't answer the other person fluently and thereafter I feel let down. How should I behave when I am out so that I can feel more confident?
Dear Nisha
Appreciate yourself - body, mind and intellect. See yourself in the mirror. Dress well. Analyse your plus points and grow on them. Also socialise.
Namaste London
Mihir asks,
I am basically from India but last few years I am in London. My co-workers have a bad impression about me. They think I am very rude and not an important person. Could you help me to change my impression?
Dear Mihir
Continue your genuine efforts. Continue to be polite but firm. Impress people by your work. Try to identify one or two people with whom you can communicate. Appreciate others and be genuine. It will yield results.
