Revitalize Your Water Chakra This Monsoon
|
Dancing in the rain was always a fun idea but now it's actually good for health too!
You are probably aware that our body is made of five elements - air, earth, ether, fire and water. But did you also know that our body is two-thirds water? Water pervades our each and every cell. No wonder then that it is essential to drink sufficient water to replenish what we lose and stay hydrated.
But that is not the only way you can expose your body to the benefits of water. The organ that makes up the surface of your body, your skin, is also revitalized whenever you take a bath.
Again, the benefit to your skin and your body differs depending on whether you have a rushed bucket bath, an invigorating shower or luxuriate in a tub!
Revitalize your water chakra this monsoon
Inspite of water shortages and packed schedules, you should consider taking an invigorating shower every now and then. Quite asides 'wake you up' and cleanse and hydrate your every pore (think of a fresh-looking complexion!), bathing in a flow of water that similes a heavy downpour is an excellent way to energize your swadhistana chakra.
What's that?
The swadhistana chakra is the second energy chakra of the body. Also called the water chakra, it spreads over the lower abdomen, lower back and sexual organs. That is physically speaking.
On an emotional level, since the water chakra relates to our emotional identity, it connects us with ourselves and the world at large through our feelings, desires, and energy exchanges. Energy exchanges imply the flow of energy that emanates when we engage with people and things.
How does the water chakra affect you?
Ideally speaking, when this chakra is energized, the organs it encompasses function well. In other words, you remain free of chronic low back pain, sciatica, gynecological ailments, pelvic pain, sexual impotency and urinary troubles. On a higher plane, you enjoy a graceful, easy flow of communication in all your relations.
But when the second chakra is energy deficient or blocked, issues begin to creep into your interpersonal relations. More disturbingly, as the chakra that governs the procreative organs, any disturbances in its energy levels also gives rise to a dearth of creativity.
