ICSI Test
Priyanka asks,
My husband has low sperm count. Is it possible to increase sperm count? Can we have a baby by natural process? We were advised Oligocare and advised to get sperm analysis done as we were told that it has to be monitored for 3 months. What line of treatment should we follow? We started planning our family in Sept 2007.
Dear Priyanka,
I agree you have male factor infertility due to a low sperm count (oligoasthenospermia). I am sorry, but there is no way of improving sperm count or motility. Please get it re-checked again. If it is persistently low, then your best option would be ICSI. Your chances of conceiving with ICSI are excellent because you are young.
Delay In Menstruation
Nisha asks,
I am 23 years old. As I didn't get my periods; I went to the doctor for a medical treatment. She told that I don't have any problem and asked me to reduce my weight. She prescribed Gynovit syrup. After having it, I got my periods regularly. What does this syrup do?
Dear Nisha,
I am not familiar with this particular brand name. If you tell me what it contains, I can guide you properly.
Lack Of Seminal Fluid
Munish Ahuja asks,
I just want to know how the quantity of seminal fluid in men increases. What food or what vitamins, medicine would be taken to increase the quantity of seminal fluid. Now I have 2ml seminal fluid ejaculation please tell me how to increase this seminal fluid through daily diet.
Dear Munish Ahuja,
No, I am sorry, there's no way of improving the volume of seminal fluid. If you do not ejaculate for many days, the semen volume will automatically increase. In any case, why do you want to improve the volume? This will not improve your sexual ability or performance or fertility.
Problem During Pregnancy
Ash asks,
My sister and her husband have been trying for a baby for four years now. She is experiencing monthly bleeding sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. My sister is 25 yrs old. What is the problem? Is it serious?
Dear Ash,
The fact that she has failed to get pregnant even after trying for 4 years means she does have a problem, which needs medical attention. She needs to see a doctor who can do the medical tests to check her husband's fertility and hers as well. Every problem has a solution - her chances of conceiving with the right treatment are excellent because she is young.
