Thyroid Can Cause Hair Fall

Apparently as per your history you seem to have a Male Pattern Thinning which is always progressive. Treatment can slow down further thinning drastically but can seldom re-grow hair.

I had very thin hair till I was about 10 years old and after that my hair suddenly grew very thick and about four years later it started falling drastically. I got hormonal check and sonography done but even those were normal. Where do you think the problem lies?

You need to be seen thoroughly and analyzed by trichologist before arriving at any conclusion. In the meantime you should have proper intake of diet with good intake of water.

A fall of around 50-60 hair strands per day is normal and yet if you feel there is tremendous hair fall than it can be due nutritional deficiency and hormonal problem. Please get that checked.
