Hair Whitening

I am 25 yrs old. I have a dandruff problem from the last 4 yrs. I have tried many anti-dandruff shampoos but none is working. And from last 2 yrs my hair is getting white from the roots. Please help me as I am not married yet and hair whitening is creating a problem in getting married. So please help me!

When over the counter anti-dandruff shampoos don't help you need oral and or topical anti-fungal. Choose topical anti-fungal containing zinc sulphate and salicylic acid. Sometimes greying could be due to not enough nutrition reaching hair follicles. Take multi-mineral supplements containing iron, copper, paba and vitamin B5 for at least 3 months.
Scaling Disorder

Around five yrs back I suffered from Dengue Fever and after getting well, I started having big dandruff flakes in my head as well as my eyebrows. Till now I suffer from this condition even after trying many remedies. My head is always itchy and big dandruff flakes always keep coming out. Please visit your Trichologist to get your problem investigated properly as this could be some scaling disorder other than dandruff. Crush 2 tablets of Asprin/Disprin in your shampoo and massage lightly and rinse after 5-7 minutes. For greying I have already answered above. Check if your hair loss is diffused or it falls into a male pattern thinning type and you would require treatment accordingly.
Oral Anti-Fungal Treatment

Dear Kuljeet,
If topical anti-fungal alone has not helped you, you might need oral anti-fungal. Under your doctors advice you can take oral anti-fungal to get your problem solved along with anti-fungal shampoos.
Detrimental Dandruff

Please choose a shampoo containing Zinc oxide, Zinc Sulphate, Salicylic acid, or resorcinol and apply the shampoo daily for 7-10 days and then make it thrice a week for 2 months.

If the problem is hereditary, with medicines it can be improved to some extent. All the hair-weaving procedures require maintenance at some interval and that can be done by yourself at home. These procedures can give you length and volume but avoid too much pressure on the existing hair.
