Cycling Helps To Reduce Weight

I am 27 yrs old and weight 62 kgs, I have put on because I have deskwork and to loose weight I even do brisk walking in the morning. The area from where I want to reduce is my thighs and hips. If you can advise me some exercise? Does cycling help to reduce? If yes, then for how much time?

Yes, cycling will help surely. Try even spot marching, which is a good cardio exercise as well. Just hold your hands at the height of your chest and hit your palms with your knees in a left and right marching way. Start with 10 hits each side in a rhythmic way and slowly increase up to 50. During your work stretch yourself intermittently to release the fatigue. It will avoid the back problems as well. Suryanamskar is also a good alternative.
Pilates Exercise Regime

I am a 6 ft tall girl, 24 yrs, and weigh 92 kgs with most of the fat around my hip, waist and back side. I have started a routine with 45 mins cardio and followed by weights and tummy exercises. I wanted to know, what is more effective, the mix I have currently, or more resistance?

Do more of free hand exercises like yoga, Pilates and calisthenics workout instead of using cardio equipments. Also there are freehand cardiovascular workouts, which you can include in your routine. Use resistance tubes instead of weights because weight training is sometimes injury prone. Also keep a track of what you are eating throughout the day.

Along with cardio you should also start with resistance training, which will really help to reduce the weight and shape you up.

Reducing weight by skipping food is not healthy weight loss regime infact it is starving. Instead have healthy food and regular exercise along with it. Avoid junk oily food and eat to serve your hunger and not appetite.

Make him exercise regularly. Cycling, swimming and Suryanamskar are very good for his age. See that he is having healthy food habits. Avoid junk and fried food. Include fresh vegs and fruits diet. Time pass eating should be avoided instead make him spend his free time developing some good hobbies. Excessive TV and computer playing should be strictly avoided.
