What's next?
"Well Shekhar Kapur and me are planning to swim the English Channel (a distance of 35 kilometers) this summer. Shekhar is an avid swimmer and has been swimming daily for a couple of hours sometimes swimming up to four hours continuously. We hope to complete this dream soon."
Pardeshi's Style
- You may want to swim and may even swim like a fish one day, but remember you don't have gills. So drink lots of water. You're body dehydrates through exercise and needs water to replenish its system.
- Free-Style is the best stroke because it's a natural body movement.
- Treat water as your best friend. Then it is possible to learn the art of swimming and water exercises.
- Water Aerobics: Start by walking in the water then move to running. You may want to move along the pool or continue the motion in one place. The water resistance will increase your work-out.
- Water sports are fun too! Water Polo, volleyball and basketball are very popular in the West. Play these games in the shallow end of the pool it. Is more fun and safer.
