Makeup and hair tips for the summer bride
It's really hot and you are getting married. And of course you have to be dressed in all your bridal finery with loads of makeup on your face.

For all the gals tying a summer knot we offer some invaluable advice on what is the best way to use makeup in the hot summer months and how to do it well.

Makeup Magic

For the day
During the day, the makeup should be soft and subtle and not too gaudy or glossy. As far as possible go for a clean and no makeup look. Use shine free products, which give you a matte effect.
  • Before makeup rub a few ice cubes over your face. It helps your makeup stay longer and would also prevent it from being smudgy. After that, pat a little astringent on your face(a must for oily skin).
     
    • Use minimum foundation
  • Foundation: While applying foundation take care that you apply a thin layer of it and then brush it properly with a generous layer of compact powder (of course that should match with your skin tone), to keep the sweat at bay. It would also give you a matte effect during the day and you'll look clean. You can also use studio fix powder (compact), it would give a lovely coverage to your blemishes.
     
    • For lipcolours, use shades of pink and peaches
  • Lips: Avoid dark lip colours and stick to shades of pink, peaches and nude browns with a hint of nude or natural lip-gloss. For lip liners go in for darker shades like burgundy and shades of brown. You can try out MAC lip colours as they have the perfect shades for the summer. You can also use basic lip lint over the lip colour / lipstick (gives shine to the lips without being too glossy).
     
  • Use little mascara for the day Eyes: During the day the eyes should have minimum amount of eyeliner and mascara in summers, as it would get smeared due to the sweat.
    Also, splash your eyes with cold water to make them look fresh and less tired. Use an eye curler to curl your eyelashes.
    Use a natural highlighter for the brows and subtle shades for the eyeshadow like peaches or browns.
