Makeup That Lasts Forever

Makeup That Lasts Forever Some things do last forever and your makeup can also be one of them...

What if we told you that you could save yourself the hassle of lining your brows time and again; applying lipstick every morning and doing up your lashes to enhance your eyes? Unrealistic? Not really. That's what permanent makeup does for you.

What Is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is a form of tattooing, using specially formulated pigments. It is used to enhance facial features and as a finishing touch to surgical procedures. The application of micropigmentation is a unique combination of artistic ability and technical skill. To create the most natural result, technique, placement, colour, artistry and good judgment are paramount. Properly placed permanent makeup will never wash off!

However, it will fade with time. Eyeliner and lip colour have better longetivity - approximately three to five years depending on the colour choice, skin type and proper post application care. To maintain the fresh, natural look of permanent makeup, a touch-up should be scheduled when the colour has noticeably lightened.

The treatments come with a disadvantage of being a little on the expensive side but that should not be a cause of getting disappointed as having a fresh and youthful skin is just not restricted to the above mentioned methods.

Making Your Skin Beautiful Forever

The most important aspect of looking beautiful is having a flawless and glowing skin. No amount of makeup or concealer can substitute for good-looking skin.

"Skin on the face changes faster than the rest of the body," says Munira Tankiwala, a freelance beauty expert from Mumbai. "It has to be nurtured and nourished every single day and only then can one beat the aging of the skin," she adds. As skin matures and ages, the muscle tone of the face and neck are the first to get affected. Wrinkles, fine lines and bags under the eyes start forming. The skin starts looking dull and fatigued.

If you are suffering from problematic skin then a visit to a dermatologist is advisable as she is the best person to understand your skin and work on a customized skin care solution for you.

Observing certain care while using various OTC products can also help you save your skin from damage. Makeup products should strictly never be over-used or used after their expiry date. Most cosmetics are formulated to have a shell-life of one to three years when stored according to directions.

Your nature and temperament also contribute beyond imagination to maintain innocence on your skin. So, a minimum sound sleep of 6-8 hours everyday is an absolute necessity. Hyperactivity and short-temper are as damaging to your skin as harmful sunrays. Nothing rejuvenates your skin better than exercise with meditation and yoga. Healthy lifestyle choices will help you have a permanently beautiful and glowing skin which will truly be your permanent makeup!
