Scar Revision Treatment

Question Neha asks,
I had acne on my face. Now it is ok but I am left with light scars. How to cure them? How can I get rid of facial hair naturally? I want to avoid bleaching. I have heard that waxing on face can lead to wrinkles and early aging. My age is 23 yrs and I am getting married in about 2-3 months.
Answer Dear Neha,

Since you are getting married in 3 months we have some time to transform your skin into a bridal one. Consult a good dermatologist who can help you out with fractional laser treatments for scar revision, which would take around 4 to 6 sitting at 3 weeks gap interval. The best way to get rid of unwanted facial hair is by laser hair removal. There would be a desirable reduction in the hair growth after 7 sittings. Always remember one thing, never ever wax your face, chest, or back. You will just flare up into acne. Creams containing Eflorithine are also available in the market that helps in decreasing the hair growth.

Vegetable Juice For Healthy Skin

Question Samir asks,
I am 32, male residing in Dubai. During summer, the temperature here reaches up to 50 degree C and this causes skin darkening to a great extent. I have been using "L'Oreal white perfect cream" and "Oil of Olay White radiance cream" and various other creams to protect my skin. Even after trying all these things I haven't got any results. Kindly suggest what needs to be done to make the skin more fair and firm?
Answer Dear Samir,

Dubai is a very hot country. Hot and temperate climates rob the skin of its valuable moisture making it look dull and dehydrated. Apply a very thick and generous coat of sunscreen at least 3 times a day. Dehydrated and parched skin is bound to look darker.

Apply a good oil free moisturizer 3 times a day. Taking oral supplements of Antioxidants, Vitamin C, and Multivitamins to bring back the glow to your face. Consume fruits, which are naturally rich in Vitamin C like papaya and oranges. Prepare fresh vegetables juices containing carrot, beet and spinach. Consume them within 5 minutes of preparation. This will enrich your skin nutritionally.

Facial Hair Growth

Question Pooja asks,
I have always suffered from frequent hair growth over my body and face. I have tried wax, bleach on face but it is ridiculous to go for it every month. I took up with few medicines also for around 3 months but the hair growth continues to be the same.
Answer Dear Pooja,

Excess facial hair gives an indication towards hormonal imbalance. Please do not think of waxing your face again as there are more chances of acne flaring up. The best way to get rid of excess facial or body hair is laser hair removal. With about 7 sittings, you would see a noticeable difference in the hair growth. Consult a good dermatologist for the same.
