TAN - Summers Hottest Jewellery

Mumbai recently saw for the very first time India's 9 leading jewellery brands coming together in one show - TAN, at the Taj Land's End in Bandra.
Fashion divas like Jesse Randhawa, Tapur Chatterjee, Tupur Chatterjee, Nethra Raghuraman, Deepti Gujral, Mugdha Godse, Shonal Rawat, Shruti Agarwal, Shamita Singha, Aanchal Kumar, Sucheta Sharma, Deepa Chari, Hemangi Parte, Naseem Sheikh, Shubra Ayyapa and Alesia Raut set the ramp on fire by showcasing not the best of clothes but rather the best jewellery collections from the biggest brands in the country along with their male counterparts Shawar Ali and Zulfi Sayed.
The occasion was to mark the Mumbai's first ever-luxurious jewellery mall - 'Jewel World', who was one of the leading sponsors. The event was hosted by Rajesh Vardhan and Ramesh Pahlajani of Jewel World. On display at the event there were nine themes put forward by nine leading jewellery brands and their designers. Each theme portrayed a different collection signifying a different lifestyle. Present at the glittering function were Jackie Shroff, Ayub Khan, Brinda Parekh, Deepshikha, Simple Kaul, Rahul Roy, Mink, Sanjeeda Sheikh & Kushal Punjabi.
The compere for the evening, Supreet Bedi livened up the party quotient with her effervescent charm. Vikas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai of White Leaf Entertainment managed the entire event with great efficiency.
The Gitanjali Group showcased two sequences for its brands Nizam and Maya. Besides this, one also saw the new Glitterati collection from D'damas. Prima Gold, Sangini, Bherumal Shamandas, Aura Gold, Clarity Gold and Auro Gold are the other brands that participated in this extravaganza. The models were styled by designers Anjali and Arjun Kapoor and choreographed by Shaikh Shakir. The cocktail evening was filled with interesting discussions and the background sound of clinking glasses.

According to Ritesh Bafna, Head, 9to9 Events the event is an effort of break the current clutter seen on the ramp today. He says, "We have several shows dedicated to fashion in terms of clothing but fashion and lifestyle extend beyond clothes. Jewellery and accessories make up a significant part of the lifestyle a person leads which is why the idea for TAN came up."
