Gold, platinum and diamonds have ruled Indian weddings for far too long now. The new Indian bride longs to find jewellery that is unique, modern and closer to her style. Swarovski noticed this unmet need of the modern Indian bride and decided to unveil its bridal collection for the girl who wants to go a different way.
Displayed at the Swarovski showroom at Le Meridien in Delhi, their new pieces have been created for the wedding season. The brides can now add another masterpiece to their collection. Not gold, nor silver but crystals this time. The groom has not been ignored either. There is a gorgeous crystal cufflinks and tiepin set for them.
The Swarovski bridal collection was unveiled at Aqua, The Park Hotel in Delhi. While crystals were the stars of the show, outfits designed for the models by Falguni and Shane Peacock aptly complimented Swarovski’s splendid collection. The collection is titled Confetti to conjure images of fun, joy and celebration. Models on the ramp included Joey Mathew and Noyonika Chatterjee. Soha Ali Khan, the young new face of Bollywood, added her glamour to the show.
