Jewellery Spotlight At The Oscars

With Angelie Jolie making a shocking statement in a black Elie Saab dress set off by the most eye-catching and gorgeous pair of Lorraine Schwartz emerald drop earrings complemented by an emerald ring, it was but natural that we'd check out what all the other leading ladies wore to the 81st Oscars.
Amy Adams also wore an unusual piece on her red dress. The Fred Leighton designed necklace was almost two inches wide and used red, blue and green stones. Amy carried it off rather well. Penelope Cruz went classic and wore a pair of solitaire and a solitaire diamond necklace by Chopard. We must say, classic has never looked quite so good!
Vanessa Hudgens wore a fun and flirty pair of really long danglers by Cathy Waterman while Taraji P. Henson set of her simple gown with some major bling bling by Fred Leighton.
Jessica Biel wore gorgeous earrings and a stunning bracelet by Louis Vuitton and Marion Cotillard chose the classic elegance of a Chopard necklace.
Heidi Klum wore a wrist full of bracelets, bangles and rings paired with the most outstanding earrings all by Lorraine Schwartz - as only Heidi Klum can! We're not sure anyone else could have pulled this look off but it sure worked for Klum.
Frieda Pinto wore large diamond earrings with her blue gown and apparently said that the ring she wore had a diamond, which was minded 150 years ago in her native country India. That statement later was published in many places as reading 'she wore a 150 year old ring'.
Oscar winner Kate Winslet wore a diamond bracelet and matching diamond earrings. She always wears her engagement and wedding bands and this occasion was no different.
Anne Hathaway nearly always wears Cartier jewellery to major events, and the Oscars were no exception. Here jewellery is all fashioned from diamonds and platinum, and includes contemporary and vintage pieces. The total price tag -- over $1.25 million, not including the watch bracelet that's regarded as priceless.
Evan Rachel Wood's darkened diamond and platinum chandelier earrings are from Neil Lane. She also wore a coordinating bracelet and ring.
Miley Cyrus' ($500,000) diamond and platinum earrings are from Neil Lane, and so is a pearl, diamond and platinum ring not visible in this picture.
Diane Lane's darkened diamond and platinum fringed necklace is from Neil Lane, and so are her bracelet, earrings and two of her rings (all diamond and platinum).
Madonna was all about diamonds and platinum at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Layers of black and white diamond beads (500 carats in all), a 50 carat diamond and onyx bracelet, 20 carat pear shaped diamond earrings and large cocktail ring are all from Neil Lane.
Lorraine Schwartz sure made a splash at this year's Oscars with two of our most favourite ladies sporting jewellery by them - and looking great!
