Arbaaz Walks For Wendell Rodricks

Inspired by artist Pieter Mondrian and as a tribute to the late couturier Yves St Laurent, Wendell Rodricks presented his ''Mondrian Minimalist Collection'' for Westside. Staying true to his design sensibilities, Wendell used black and white with contrast piping for the fluid dresses, knitwear, fitted pants and flowing blouses and gowns in chiffon, crepe and jersey with a line in bamboo fabric.
The detailing was restricted to piping, pleats and ruffles over silhouettes, which spelt comfort. Wendell opened the show with an overlapping linen creation with wide piped one collar and then continued in the theme with white pinafore over off-shoulder tunic and white sack dress and then added black as the base fabric.
The ultra evening line had ruffled neck blouses, asymmetric tunics with side drapes and an unusual jumpsuit gown. Wendell ended with an YSL inspired sari and Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan in a black open jacket with the colour blocked lining. It was a collection, which will give great prêt options to women who want to step into designer, wear.
