Tarun Tahiliani Unveils His Bridal Collection

After showcasing his fabulous Bridal Couture Collection at an Exposition in New Delhi, celebrated designer Tarun Tahiliani now showcases his collection in Mumbai at his store Bandra.
Perhaps we in India should be starting from celebrated Indian couture traditions where designs unabashedly cater to Indian extravagance, finesse and spirit. In the recent past, designers and the media have instead focused on a global market sensibility. Today, there is a return to the very essence of Indian style - contemporary yet classical, romantic yet structured and modern yet completely celebratory, as only India knows how.
Certain energies are irrepressible and the Indian zest for color, drape and luxury only manifests itself in fine couture collections. This collection therefore brings to the fore a unique heritage styled in a modern way. The actual creative expressions in couture and jewellery are being showcased. Tarun Tahiliani 'Fall Winter '09 Couture Collection' is for the bride, the groom and all those who join the celebration.
Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Tahiliani said, ''Across all cultures, the occasion of a wedding is important and especially more so in India. Through this collection I am trying to highlight the effort that goes into adorning the bride and groom, so that this milestone in their lives becomes one of beauty, elegance and pride.''
The ensembles exhibit exquisite jewellery and a collection of meenakari in uncut diamonds by Gems Paradise.
