RABANI & RAKHA - Designer Trio!

Sometimes ideas that at first glance seem poles apart release an unexpected energy when allied. Such was the story, behind 'RABANI' the creation of the husband and wife team of Rahul and Shibani Rastogi. Gautam Rakha completed the evolution into RABANI & RAKHA.
Having won the Prix'd Indication award in Paris, Gautam brings five years of experience working in the design studio of Tarun Tahiliani to the creative-mix. Chance brought this dynamic trio together fusing the diverse expertise of Rabani and Gautam Rakha as they shared a relationship based on the appreciation of creativity.
Gautam's exposure to a diversity of clients provided him the knowledge to understand how to take the label into the right direction in terms of look and presence. This was complimented well by Rabani's detailed and comprehensive understanding of embroidery.
Autumn-Winter '08:
The collection for the season comprises of an eclectic mix of prints and solid colours which have been used individually as well in tandem with each other.
The look is very confident and bold jewel motifs have been used to give the ensembles a definitive look, which comes across fabulously on the soft colours used.
Evening gowns form a big part of the collection along with kurta sets and sarees, short dresses also dot the collection along with flowing skirts with corsets. There is a very interesting section, which has ensembles in chocolate with gold. The colours used are turquoise blue and green, ivory and black, beige gold and skin.

Known for their exquisite and intricate work, Rabani and Rakha, are creating distinctive and memorable clothes. In a very short time, they have gained a strong following based on their quality workmanship and creative designs.
