Romance Is In The Air

When a collection is called 'Romance Is In The Air' there is only one thing that the audience can expect on the ramp and that is an utterly feminine beautiful line.
Geisha Designs by Paras and Shalini showed dream like garments that glided down the ramp for Fall/Winter 2009 at Lakme Fashion Week. It was a collection that women have always dreamt of in gossamer silk, net and georgette, shimmering satin, seductive lycra and jersey. Sprinkled with the most delicate ethereal embroidery that recreated the shimmering butterfly and web motifs on strategic places of the ensemble, the look wove around silk, velvet, appliqué and bugle beads.
The detailing on the sexy figure hugging dresses and bustiers and the fluid ensembles was unique texturing in silver and gun metal along with artistic rouched chiffon flowers that almost blossomed on the creations.
The colour story was a romantic dreamy palette that started with pastels, pink and old rose and then gently moved to pristine white, sun yellow, delicate green, peach, Curacao blue and then to deeper tones like navy and black.
The stunning entries in the very well edited show were the opening dress in navy with rouched petal appliqué fringed hem, the sheer butterfly top with egg lycra trousers, the lovely rosette dress with layered satin panels, the old rose silk net dress with rosette work and tie up, the peach halter, the dramatic lilac rouched silk halter with a shimmering neckline and the blue gown with embroidered bodice.
Geisha Designs' romantic feminine offering for the coming season will delight women who want those romantic touches in their wardrobes for that ultra special evening.
