Krishna Mehta's collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2008 was an exclusive amalgamation of eastern and western vogue. She splendidly played around with her theme of romance and dreams using satin, silk, and sheer textures.
Mehta's collection was stylish yet traditional and radiated an Indian feel all through. Her men's collection had their distinct recognition with rigorously cut sherwanis and jackets paired with trousers.
Her women's wear was opulent and lent a sensuous feel with slender and graceful empire-line dresses teamed with leggings.
Mehta's use of mixed tones of earthy browns, rich reds, royal blues, deep greens and muted golds bestowed an exceedingly royal sense to the entire collection.
She vividly used broad belts as a fashion accessory for both male and female apparels. The dresses that held a dazzling fusion of Oriental ethnicity with contemporary glamour were showcased alongside rich colours and sharp cuts.
