Narendra Kumar Ahmed's Men's Wear Made A Stylish Statement In Denim For Fall/Winter 2009 At Lakme Fashion Week
Narendra Kumar Ahmed's expertise with men's wear has always had that cutting edge style which makes his garments the highlight of the week.
This time the show was devoted to jeans and tuxedo jackets all in black and white for Fall/Winter 2009 at Lakme Fashion Week. Although a men's wear show, Narendra added some long stylish gowns also in the same colour story. A live band set the mood for the show with some foot tapping music and it was time for Narendra Kumar Couture to move to centre stage.
Narendra gave some stylish and interesting innovations on the popular sturdy bottom wear which men are so fond of. The denim story was the basis with the fabric going through changes that moved it away from the usual casual wear avatar.
The detailing was carefully created to match the fabric texture. So there were pin tucks, blind tucks, pleats, piping, cording, satin insertion and very bold embroidery. Particularly interesting were the piped holster pockets on the slim pants. Tuxedo shirts, shawl collar embroidered waist coats, silver satin MAC coats, embroidered shirts with bold motifs, stand up collar cutaway waist coats, velvet jackets with contrast shawl collars and finally a black brocade and silver jacquard jacket in beige and gold linen with hand embroidery which closed the show.
Narendra Kumar Ahmed once again proved that there is a lot of creativity on his drawing boards for every segment of men's wear and even women's wear which he is slowly unleashing for the fashion conscious crowd.
