Shymal And Bhumika Presented A Vibrant Colourful Resort Line For Fall/Winter 2009 At Lakme Fashion Week.
It was a holiday mood that Shyamal and Bhumika created with their resort wear for Fall/Winter 2009 at Lakme Fashion week. With the Hawaiian Beach glamour look as their inspiration, the collection was a vibrant sexy line in bright colours that ranged from yellow, citrus, blue, green, mint, purple, black, peach, viola red, fuchsia, gold and silver.
Silhouettes were sprightly tunics, sundresses, kaftans, jumpsuits, tiny micro shorts in satin, and the draped Zouave pants, which will make great loungers for the beach. The striking minis and long flowing gowns could work very well for late nights at the resort. The fabrics were lush satin; georgette, crepe and silk to give the luxurious fluid look to the creations.
Opening the show with Hawaiian print long kaftans, the designing duo let their creativity work on tiny mini smocks, harem pants, beaded will-power sheaths, a seductive off-shoulder blouse teamed with the tiniest pair of green satin sequined shorts and a stylish green cuffed hem printed bubble dress.
The late night glamour section started with a shaded ruby/grey halter with this colour theme moving on to a longer version of the dress. A taupe one-shoulder satin crystal gown, a dazzling silver sequined mini, a gold fully encrusted sheath, a silver drop waist ruffle Spanish style pastel gown and a mix of silver/black/maroon shimmering ensemble added to the opulent look of the collection.
Here was a focused controlled holiday line with prints, colours silhouettes and embellishments from the studios of Shyamal and Bhumika which came together in perfect harmony for any season.
