Anna Singh gives tips on Cocktail wear for men

Dressing up for your cocktail can be as exciting and interesting as for the big-day. And with so many options to look out for, there are no set rules as in what a groom should wear on his cocktail party. The bottom line is wear what appeals to you and looks good on you, irrespective of the fashion trends and style. Its once in a life time opportunity after all!

Celebrity designer Anna Singh says, "When planning what to wear for your cocktail or wedding, see what suits you and looks good on you," says Anna. Heres what she gives her thumbs up to:

Cocktail wear

Colours to flaunt
Nothing can look better on a man than a classic black. Other colours to choose are beige, broken white which are also the perfect colours for your wedding ensembles. But if you are the adventurous kinds and like to experiment, then you can go in for more funkier colours like burgundies and shades of blues.

Closet cues

  • If it's western attire for you, then nothing looks like a classic black suit. The truth is whether its a wedding or a formal party the suit still rules! However, the colours make all the difference.
  • And if its, not too formal a ceremony then you can even opt for a formal shirt with a smart trousers teamed up with a chic silk tie.
  • Or for a more interesting outfit you can even try out a bandhgala  suit with a hint of embroidery and jadau   buttons. Nothing can be more regal than that.
Indian Ethnic Wear
Cocktail wearWedding is the time for you to look your dashing best. Nothing can look as stunning as traditional and ethnic clothes.
  • So, if you want to stick to Indians for your cocktail then, Jodhpurs  with emeralds or jadau  buttons, not only look excellent but also give you that classic traditional look. However, the embroidery or the work done on the outfit should be simple and not overdone-remember, it should always be for a man and nothing which is over done.
  • A simple white kurta pajama  in rich fabrics like silk also looks stunning and sets the mood for the party. So, you can even go for that.

Accessories attraction
Whatever you wear, remember to team up your outfit with matching footwear. Jotis, mojris  and interesting chappals  would be just right to put your best foot forward at your cocktail party!
