I could not leave with unanswered questions in your head. Nor did I want Sujal's parents to lie." At that point Sujal's father interrupted, "Mili, Mr. Mehra has always been there with you. Why do you think we came to Mumbai? Mr. Mehra came to Bhilai to meet us and told us everything about you. We were touched. We immediately accepted you as our daughter-in-law. Mili was at a loss for words. She was crying profusely. She had realised how wrong she was about her dad. Dad! In fact, he wasn't even her dad. And yet he had done so much for her. Mr. Mehra wiped the tears from her eyes and said, "Mili, child, continue living the way you are. You deserve every bit of happiness you are getting now. As for me, I will always be there to support you, even if you don't need me." With this, he got up to leave. Mili obviously did not want him to go. She said, "Dad, please don't..." But before she could complete, Mr. Mehra interrupted, "This is in your best interest. I know what I am doing." Saying that, he left.
