Love never ages - Part I

"Oh bhabhi, please only ten more minutes!" pleaded Nirav and Ansha as Kalpana came and chided them for being up so late. The brother-sister duo was on chat and having a fun time.
Kalpana resigned and went into her bedroom to sleep. Mithilesh was still on the computer absorbed in his work. It didn't matter much to Kalpana.
Kalpana's and Mithilesh's marriage was seven years old. It had started as many romances do with chance meetings followed with love letters. Just that the place of meeting was cyberspace and messenger the Internet. Their courtship had lasted a year. Marriage turned the excitement of love into an everyday existence. The disappointment of being childless snuffed the spark even more and right now it was lying in the depths of the cupboard like an old forgotten marriage gift.
One day after dinner when the whole family was sitting together Ansha, the elder of the duo said, "Bhaiya-bhabhi why don't you two go on a holiday? You haven't been to one in a long time." Mithilesh looked at her and shrugged it off saying, "Is this our age to go gallivanting around like two teenage lovers?"
Nirav and Ansha noticed the smile of hope die in Kalpana's eyes before it reached her lips. Both looked at each other as she got up and walked into the kitchen. They were merely 8 and 10 yrs old when she had married and come into their lives. She treated Nirav and Ansha like her own children and for them Kalpana was more than their mother.
That night they lay thinking their own thoughts when Nirav broached the topic both were worried about. They wondered if they could do anything to remedy the situation. A plan was beginning to form in their head...
Next evening when Nirav came home he found his bhabhi on the net. Surprised Nirav questioned her. She replied him that she had lost her touch with computer since marriage and that she was just trying again on compelling by Ansha.
Slowly and steadily the things started changing. One day Ansha walked in on Mithilesh working on his computer to ask him a doubt in one of her subjects. He closed a window that looked very much like a chat window and grinned sheepishly at Ansha. "Arre, I kept seeing Nirav doing this chatting business all the time. What do you kids think we don't know about this chatting? How do you think your bhabhi and I met? Anyways, you are here with a doubt?" Ansha grinned at him and started explaining the doubt.
Next day, Mithilesh bought sweets for everyone. Not for the sake of affection for everyone, but there was a different reason. Kalpana raised an eyebrow but remained speechless. Nirav and Ansha nudged each other.
Three months passed thus. Nirav and Ansha's little strategy seemed to be working pretty fine. Both started looking brighter and much more interested in life. Almost rejuvenated. Nirav and Ansha were waiting for the D-day. When they could reveal the truth that everything was planned
One morning Nirav and Ansha got the opportunity they were looking for. But drastically different than they could have ever imagined. Kalpana and Mithilesh called them to their room and asked them a question they were totally unprepared for.
"You two are big enough, you should know everything. We shall get into the details later, but we would like to know, that if you two had to choose between both of us, who would that be?"
Stumped, Ansha ventured, "uhh...but Bhaiya why do we need to answer something as absurd as that..."
"Because," answered Kalpana, "Your Bhaiya and I have decided to get divorced."
"Your bhabhi is right, we have decided to get separated for our own good. Let's say we have found other reasons for living and want to give life one more shot, separately."
"But why can't you give it one more shot together?" blurted a bewildered Ansha.
Kalpana tried to hide a painful expression. "We know it is painful for both of you, but both of us have found someone else, we could make a new beginning with."
"WHAT?" shouted Nirav and Ansha in unison?
"What is so shocking in that? Can't we start afresh if we are not finding happiness? Are we so bounded by our responsibilities to you that it is so impossible to accept our decision? Or is it that..."
"Wait Bhaiya," Nirav interrupted, "May we ask who and where did you meet your..."
"Of course. Both of you have a right to know, sit down. Over the net. While chatting. Ansha, I actually owe it to you, this my happiness..."
Nirav and Ansha gulped and looked at each other. How in the first place will they ever tell them the truth? How did things become so complicated? What if Bhaiya...bhabhi come across the fact that Shikha and Shekhar they were chatting with were none other than Nirav and Ansha?
