Vivek Oberoi Priyanka Alva’s Wedding Reception

Any wedding is an occasion for pulling out one’s best clothes, but when a Bollywood celebrity ties the knot, the entire industry goes all out!
Unfortunately, while some stars get it right, there are others who make major fashion faux pas (and don’t we love them for it!).
Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva tied the knot at the bride’s residence in Bengaluru on October 29th. Both, the bride and the groom wore Tarun Tahiliani outfits and looked absolutely resplendent. Priyanka looked every inch the traditional Indian bride and positively radiant. While some people may feel that Vivek was extremely OTT – hey! Give the guy a break. It was his wedding day after all
The wedding was followed by a huge star-studded reception at The Grand Maratha, Mumbai. At the reception Vivek wore a dark velvet sherwani and the bride wore a gorgeous blue lehenga with a green velvet choli
Not to be missed!
- Genelia D’souza wore a Nishka Lulla beige tiered lehenga and looked very young and hip. We loved the addition of the ruby earrings for that slight pop of colour.
- Tabu wore a Timeless by Anita Dongre white churidaar kurta and needless to say looked the picture of classic elegance.
- Full marks to Yashodhara Oberoi (the groom’s mom) for looking like a groom’s mom should – happy, elegant and dressy!
- Dia Mirza wearing chand-style earrings with an ornate pink lehenga. Does this woman ever have a bad day?
People who totally missed!
- Divya Dutta and how! She looked like something out of a candy store and we don’t mean that in a nice way.
- Ritesh Deshmukh came wearing long locks and looked absolutely shaggy! The look would’ve worked for a college-rock band event, but certainly not for a wedding.
- Parmeshwar Godrej is often lauded as a fashionista but seeing her here makes us wonder why?
