Ayesha Takia's Wedding Reception

After years of dating each other, Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia and restaurateur Farhan Azmi finally decided to formalize their relationship. The two tied the knot in a traditional Nikaah ceremony followed by a grand reception held at the CCI Lawns in South Mumbai.
The bride, Ayesha Takia, looked resplendent in a gold lehenga. She wore a big diamond maang tika and covered her head all the way to her hairline like brides of yore... we must say the look suited Takia and she was glowing on her big day.
The reception saw the who's who of Politics and Bollywood turn up to wish the couple a long and happy married life. Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek came in together with Jaya looking radiant in a white salwar-kurta. Sunjay Dutt and Manyata also made a short appearance.
Surprisingly, this was one wedding where the Father of the Bride played no role at all. In fact, he was not even present at the wedding and rumour has it that Ayesha's father was not informed about the wedding at all. Nishit Takia and Farida Takia apparently had a fall out about six months ago after which Nishit has not been in touch with his wife or two daughters - Ayesha and Natasha.
Other celebrities who attended the wedding included Rohit & Manasi Roy, Nauheed Cyrusi, Imtiaz Ali, Ritesh Deshmukh, Raj Babbar, Suniel Shetty, Nagesh Kukunoor, Dino Morea and the Chirag Din Daswanis to name a few.
The show stopper of the evening had to be Nauheed Cyrusi who forgot to wear her innerwear! The lady donned a black blouse with no innerwear and then let her pallu loose only on one shoulder. The consequent result? The Flashbulbs caught far more on camera than we think Nauheed wanted to expose!
There's a lesson to be learned... beware of flashbulbs!
