Rekha-Big B Attend Rahul-Barkha Wedding Reception!

It's almost 27 years since Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha last starred in a film together. Their relationship has been the focus of much rumour and gossip in the last three decades. Two years back the Black premiere was an event to reckon with as Rekha was seen with Big B after a long time. Now at the wedding reception of Rahul Sharma the two of them were once again at the same venue. The only difference is that there was a gap of only five minutes between their entry and exit.
Besides being an almost real life representation of their much talked about relationship, Silisila was an unforgettable film for many other reasons as well - the lilting lyrics of Javed Akhtar and the haunting music of Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia and Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma.
So when Amitabh and Rekha walked in (albeit separately) to bless Pt Sharma's son Rahul (who wed his sweetheart Barkha Patel in Mumbai) it was difficult to miss the connection.
Rekha, wearing sindoor and looking stunningly beautiful in a Kanjeevaram sari, even touched the feet of Pt Chaurasia. A little later, Amitabh walked in with daughter-in-law Aishwarya, who preferred to extend her regards with a 'namaste'.
Other guests included tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, Sonu Nigam, Vinod & Kavita Khanna, Vikas Bhalla with his wife, Ila Arun with daughter Ishita, Asrani, Adnan Sami, and Durga Jasraj to name a few.
