Rahul Sharma - Barkha Patel Sangeet Ceremony

The sangeet ceremony of santoorist Rahul Sharma (Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma's son) and his sweetheart Barkha Patel saw a good mix of people from different walks of life. There was Yash Chopra who sat right in the front row with Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma for all the dance performances. Zakir Hussain was in a party mood and seemed to enjoy the sangeet immensely. He too was seen chatting with the guests and youngsters.
The party saw a lot of Bollywood numbers onstage which Barkha's sister and her friends had all worked hard on. But the surprise was when Barkha herself danced with her sister and brother - and she sure danced like an actress. We missed Rahul on the dance floor as he smartly stood by and cheered his sweetheart.
Pt. Jasraj walked in with his wife and daughters Durga and Avani. Yash Chopra blessed the couple and left after the sangeet performances were over.
Many of the guests were busy with their hennas as a separate counter at the party took care of that. It was nice too see that the sangeet catered to the taste of all. A rich traditional Rajasthani folk troupe too performed. The troupe found themselves a big fan in Zakir Hussain. He was so overjoyed that he requested them to play more and even play a particular track, which he loved the most.
Vikas Bhalla, Neeta Lulla, Milap Zaveri, Taufeeq Qureshi, Siddharth Kak, Hariprasad Chaurasia were also spotted at this event.
The floor rocked late into the night as DJ Suketu took over in his inimitable style.
