MLA Kripashankar's Son Gets Engaged
Sanjay To Marry Ankita

2008 appears to be the season for bigwig political weddings. After CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's son - Amit's wedding, it is now the turn of Santacruz MLA Kripashankar's son - Sanjay.
Sanjay was formally engaged to Ankita - daughter of Kamleshkumar Singh, a Minister from Jharkhand, on March 9th at Grand Hyatts in Mumbai. Hyatts was also the venue for the Deshmukh wedding.
Kripashankar has often been the target of Shiv Sena's pro-Maharashtrian sentiments thanks to his North Indian origins. To prove a point, Singh got the invitations to his son's engagement printed in Marathi and followed it up with a Hindi version. Singh has often been heard claiming that while Hindi is his mother tongue, Marathi is his mausi (mother's sister).
The engagement party saw many famous political and Bollywood celebrities including Shatrughan Sinha, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Nihar Pandya, Narayan Rane, Abu Azmi, Joe Rajan, Charan Singh Sapra and Anil Deshmukh. Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari also made an appearance with his wife and child.
